If there is anything interesting about classifieds its on craigslist. A very simple easy to view website. Theres everything one can look for and best of all its all free and local. By local I mean, its local to your place of living. People advertising on craigslist can either wish to remain anonymous ( their email id will be something like anon12312412@craigslist.org ) or they can put in their names and ph nos in their ads. Atleast I havent seen 'anything/anyone' you cant find on craigslist. Be it finding a roommate, finding a date, looking for a group of people to join in on a party, finding a hiking group, finding a gym partner, looking for used furniture .. oh the list is endless. people advertise, seek and give advice, write about their experiences and what not.
The site has 1.7 billion page views per month. Theres a documentary that features how a day's life is spent on craigslist. There is a craigslist fan club and craigslist more of a 'brand' than a website down in the San Francisco bay area, its birthplace. To conclude, the website is a real time pass just when u need it :)
